Nasteex began in 1998, rooted in the Somali civil service sector, and became a private firm to serve the growing infrastructure needs of our communities. We operate from four branch offices with a team of more than 20 engineers, architects and risk-management professionals.
The work runs from building construction and concrete to water and waste-water systems, interior finishes, renovations and project management.

Founded in 1998, Nasteex grew from its beginnings in Somalia’s civil service sector into a private company serving the country’s growing infrastructure needs. Today, the company continues under the leadership of its founder, Khalif Abas Mohamoud, from its headquarters in Garowe.
Across four branch offices, our multidisciplinary team of more than 20 engineers, architects and risk-management professionals combines technical expertise with a practical understanding of local conditions.

What this service does
We take a site from survey and architectural design through construction to handover: schools, offices, clinics, residential blocks and mixed-use compounds. That includes the substructure and concrete, the kerbs and walkway pavements, and the finishes that decide how a building feels once people move in.
Because our consultancy team sits in the same company, drawings are checked against what is actually buildable on the site before anyone breaks ground. Renovation and maintenance work continues after handover for clients who want the same team back.

What this service does
We move cargo, construction materials and plant to sites inland, including places where the last stretch is not tarmac. Cement, steel, fuel and equipment arrive when the programme says they should, not when the road allows.
Every consignment travels with documentation: waybills, condition photographs at load and discharge, and a delivery note signed on site. Programme clients get the file they need before the auditor asks for it.

What this service does
Feasibility studies, cost estimation, design review, construction supervision and progress reporting. Clients bring us in when a donor or a ministry needs to see that the money bought what the contract said it would.
Water and sanitation advisory is a large part of the work: siting, sizing and specifying storage, reticulation and waste-water systems, then verifying what gets built against the design.
